Established in 1965, Continental Disc Corporation now proudly serves more than 40 industries worldwide. Our original team of 12 has grown to more than 300 through a commitment to developing innovative products and maintaining a culture of customer service excellence.
We expanded through the acquisition of LaMOT Corporation in 1990, GROTH Corporation in 1999 and the formation of LaMOT Valve & Arrestor in 2017.
In 1983, we established an international presence with a European office in the Netherlands. Later, we added offices in India and China – reinforcing our strategic plan for growth in key markets and leadership in the industry.
Groth Corporation was established as Groth Equipment Corporation in Houston, Texas, in 1960. Today, Groth is a global leader in pressure and vacuum relief valves, flame and detonation arrestors, blanket gas regulators and other low-pressure relief products.
Groth Corporation products are designed for midstream and downstream oil and gas processing, chemical processing or biogas plants and any facility with atmospheric, fixed-roof storage tanks – from expansive tank farms to single storage tanks.
Continental Disc Corporation was incorporated in Missouri in 1965. Our facility there remains our worldwide corporate headquarters. In addition to being our primary manufacturing location, the site includes our corporate executive offices, along with the sales, engineering, accounting, quality assurance, office services and human resource departments.
Continental Disc Corporation is widely recognized as the industry leader in rupture disc design, innovation and manufacturing technology, led by the flagship HPX Reverse Acting rupture disc line.
Since 1964, LaMOT rupture discs and holders have been manufactured using proven techniques, industry standards and modern manufacturing methods. All manufacturing is performed under an ISO 9001 Quality Assurance System to ensure the rupture discs and holders are built to exact specifications.
An evolution of the Groth Corporation, LaMOT Valve & Arrestor funnels decades of industrial design, customer service and made-to-order manufacturing into a new portfolio of upstream safety products.
LaMOT Valve & Arrestor is evolving the performance, accuracy and reliability of upstream products through innovative design and rigorous third-party testing standards.
